About Zakat

  • Zakat is one of the five pillars of Islam.
  • Every Muslim whose wealth reaches the nisab is obliged to give zakat.
  • The zakat rate is %2.5of net assets (one fortieth).
  • Debts are deducted from total assets and zakat is calculated on the remainder.
  • The nisab is 80.18 grams of gold or its equivalent in TL.
